Public Speaking Workshops

Investing in the communication skills is one of the best decisions an organisation or company can make. When staff learn how to communicate effectively, this shines through to customers and has many positive effects on your business. 

At Christchurch Toastmasters, we offer two options to help your staff become confident communicators.


Our one-off workshops offer a brief introduction to public speaking and communication. These last for two hours and can be tailored based on what skills will be most helpful. The cost is $299 per session, with an ideal group size of 10 – 20 people.

  • Impromptu Speaking
  • Handling Interviews
  • Using Visual Aids
  • Interacting with the Audience
  • Communicating with a Team
  • Building Rapport


For those who want to polish their skills, we also offer public speaking courses. These run for seven weeks (one two hour session per week) and are based on the Toastmasters Speechcraft programme. The cost is $135 per participant, with a minimum of eight participants. 

We believe that that people learn best by doing, so during this course, participants are required to deliver three 4 – 6 minute speeches and be involved with other speaking activities. We also offer tips and techniques to help them control nervousness, develop their stage presence and captivate the audience.
