There are over 30 Toastmasters clubs in Christchurch and every one is different. There are morning clubs, evening clubs and even lunch time clubs. There truly is a club for everyone!

Established in 1972, Toastmasters New Zealand (District 72) oversees all clubs within the South Island and Greater Wellington. Due to a recent reformation, clubs in the Upper North Island are now part of the new District 112.
Founded in 1924 by Ralph C. Smedley, Toastmasters International supports all clubs across the club. This organisation is almost entirely run by volunteers, but there are a small number of paid staff based in Denver, Colorado. These people write the monthly Toastmaster magazine, develop educational material and support club leaders.
